This game demonstrates how if you don't wear a mask you can infect people, even if you've never met them.
Your goal is to spread an infection from the start at one town to another town at the end.
How to play:
Press an area to infect it.
You can only infect areas next to areas you've already infected.
Well done you reached the next town but the government has noticed your infection.
Each time you infect an area, the computer will now protect another area at random by
enforcing mask wearing. You can't infect these areas.
Try not to get trapped in with nowhere to infect!
Everyone around you are wearing masks so you can't infect anyone else. Try again!
Masks are not a replacement for social distancing but they do make it much harder
for you to be infected.
Everyone around you are wearing masks so you can't infect anyone else. Try again!
People's behaviour is unpredictable and so it may take a few tries to beat the randomness!
Hint: You can reach the central park area from the concrete highrise area.
When you wear a mask you limit droplet and aerosol particles spread when you breath, talk, cough and sneeze:
This is especially important indoors and when you are close to people. You can infect people even if you have no symptoms.
Joe isn't wearing his mask
so you can infect his area through
droplet
and
aerosol
particles.
If Joe had worn his mask, the infection would not have been able to spread.
Hopefully this game has helped demonstrate how masks protect everyone, including people we've never met.
