Basic advice

  1. Eat lots of fruit and veg
  2. Eat more fish – including a portion of oily fish
  3. Cut down on saturated fat and sugar
  4. Eat less salt – no more than 6g a day for adults
  5. Get active and be a healthy weight
  6. Don't get thirsty
  7. Don't skip breakfast
  8. For smokers, stop smoking
